Ingredients
- 1 c. chopped almonds
- 1 c. margarine or butter
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. milk chocolate chips
Method
- Melt butter and add sugars and water. Boil to 300° on candy thermometer.
- Stir constantly.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in baking soda and 1/2 cup chopped almonds. Spread in buttered cake pan 5 minutes.
- Pour on chocolate chips and spread over toffee mix. Sprinkle on remaining almonds.
- Cut immediately.
