Ingredients
- 1 C. green lentils
- 1 T. oil
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 1/2 C. barley
- 1 carrot, chopped
- 1/3 - 1/2 head sliced cabbage
- 5 C. water
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 T. soy sauce
- 1 C. diced potato
Method
- Place soup pot on medium and add oil. Add onion, celery and carrot.
- Add water and rest of ingredients. Bring to boil for a few minutes, then reduce heat and simmer about 1 hour.
- Add soy sauce about 10 minutes before cooking is complete.
