Ingredients
- 1 quart milk (chilled)
- 4 eggs
- 14 cup sugar
- 1 12 teaspoons vanilla
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon nutmeg (pinch)
Method
- Beat 3 eggs and 1 egg yolk until thick and light in color.
- Add 3 1/2 tablespoons of sugar, beating thoroughly.
- Stir in milk, vanilla, and salt.
- Pour mixture in glass.
- Beat remaining egg white until almost stiff, add remaining sugar and beat until stiff.
- Pour in glass over mixture above and sprinkle nutmeg as desired.
