Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 egg yolks (1/2 c.)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch cake pan.
- Sift together and set aside the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Beat in mixing bowl until very thick and lemon colored the egg yolks.
- Beat in sugar gradually.
- Blend in slowly on low speed the boiling water and vanilla.
- Quickly blend in dry ingredients.
- Pour into pan.
- Bake until top springs back at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
