Ingredients
- 3 eggs, separated
- 3/4 c. evaporated milk
- 3/4 c. homogenized milk
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 Tbsp. nutmeg
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 unbaked pie crust
Method
- Separate eggs.
- Mix all ingredients in mixing bowl, excluding egg whites.
- Beat egg whites and fold into mixture.
- Pour mixture into unbaked pie crust.
- Bake at 400° for 15 minutes, then at 375° for an additional 15 minutes.
- Turn oven off; let pie stay in oven for 5 minutes.
- Chill and serve.
- Refrigerate any leftovers.
