Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 3/4 c. water
- 4 c. flour
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
Method
- Dissolve yeast in 1 c. of the hot water.
- Sift flour, sugar and salt; then stir in yeast.
- Add in rest of water, mix.
- Cover and let rise till double.
- Punch down.
- Divide in 2 and place each in a round casserole dish (about 6 inch size).
- Cover and let rise again.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour.
- Brush with melted butter before baking.
- Serve warm with butter.
- NOTE: Good with soups like Bisque or possibly artichoke, as it is crunchy.
