Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced and separated in rings
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Place potatoes, onion rings, water and butter in a 2-quart casserole dish with cover.
  • Microwave 10 to 15 minutes covered until potatoes are tender, stirring every 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Drain if necessary.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Sprinkle with grated cheese and cover to allow cheese to melt.
