Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 c. cottage cheese
  • 3 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz. lasagna noodles

Method

  • Brown ground beef in saucepan, stirring until crumbly; drain. Add spaghetti sauce, water and seasonings; mix well.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Mix cottage cheese, Mozzarella cheese, eggs and half the Parmesan cheese in bowl.
  • Layer 1 cup sauce, 3 uncooked noodles, 1 1/2 cups sauce and half the cheese mixture in 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish.
  • Repeat layers.
  • Top with remaining sauce and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese.
  • Cover with plastic wrap, turning back edge to vent.
  • Microwave on High for 25 minutes, turning once.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes.
  • Yields 8 to 10 servings.
