Ingredients

  • 1 pack Udon noodles (frozen is ok)
  • 1 what i had in the refrigerator: Additional ingredients (I used the following this time)
  • 1/2 bag * Bean sprouts
  • 1 * Chikuwa
  • 1/2 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Chicken soup stock granules
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 Mayonnaise
  • 1 generous amount Chopped green onions

Method

  • Wash the bean sprouts and drain.
  • Slice the chikuwa into rounds or diagonally.
  • Combine the ingredients.
  • If you're using frozen udon noodles, defrost them in the microwave.
  • (50 seconds at 1000 W on one side, then flip over and microwave for another 40 seconds.)
  • Heat up the sesame oil in a frying pan and stir fry the bean sprouts and chikuwa.
  • When the bean sprouts are cooked, add the udon noodles and the combined ingredients, and stir fry while untangling the noodles.
  • Be careful not to let the flavoring ingredients burn.
  • When there's almost no moisture left in the pan and the udon noodles are cooked, transfer to a serving plate and top with mayonnaise and chopped green onions to finish.
  • I really recommend bean sprouts and chikuwa as additions to this udon dish.
  • They're healthy and delicious!
