Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 c. sliced raw raw apples
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3/4 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Method

  • Dump pineapple and
  • juice
  • in large
  • Pyrex
  • dish (9 x 13-inches).
  • Mix apples with lemon juice, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Spread
  • over
  • pineapple. Sprinkle
  • dry cake mix over top.
  • Sprinkle
  • with
  • nuts.
  • Slice margarine or butter in thin pats
  • and
  • cover entire pan.
  • Bake 1 hour at 350°. Serve warm, with whipped cream, if desired.
  • (May be made day before and heated.) Makes 15 servings.
