Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
- 1 can crushed pineapple
- 2 sticks margarine
- 2 c. sliced raw raw apples
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3/4 c. chopped nuts
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Method
- Dump pineapple and
- juice
- in large
- Pyrex
- dish (9 x 13-inches).
- Mix apples with lemon juice, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Spread
- over
- pineapple. Sprinkle
- dry cake mix over top.
- Sprinkle
- with
- nuts.
- Slice margarine or butter in thin pats
- and
- cover entire pan.
- Bake 1 hour at 350°. Serve warm, with whipped cream, if desired.
- (May be made day before and heated.) Makes 15 servings.
