Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
- 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple in syrup
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 1 to 2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter (may need a little more than 1 stick)
Method
- Grease 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Dump undrained pineapple in pan. Spread evenly.
- Dump cherry pie filling for second layer and spread evenly.
- For third layer, add dry yellow cake mix.
- Spread evenly; pat gently to make even layer.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly over cake mix.
- Slice butter pats evenly over cake mix (may need a little more than 1 stick).
- Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
- Serve warm or cool.
- Top with Cool Whip or ice cream.
