Ingredients

  • 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple (undrained)
  • 1 (20 oz.) can cherry pie filling
  • 1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter, sliced thin
  • 1 c. pecans, crushed

Method

  • Grease bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan, unless already coated. Spread pineapple on bottom of pan.
  • Layer cherries over pineapple. Sprinkle dry cake mix over cherries.
  • Sprinkle nuts over mix. Layer sliced butter in rows over nuts.
  • Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes.
  • "Great warm or cold with vanilla ice cream."
