- 2 loaves frozen wheat bread dough, thawed
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp. cornmeal
- 1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 (6 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
- 8 oz. sliced Mozzarella cheese
- 1 small green pepper, cut in thin strips
- 1 (15 1/2 oz.) jar extra thick spaghetti sauce
- 2 tsp. crushed thyme
- 1 tsp. crushed fennel seed
- milk
- cornmeal
Method
- Shape each loaf of bread dough into a ball; cover and let rise until nearly double.
- Punch down, cover and let rest 10 minutes.
