Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 box confectioners sugar
  • 1 c. Karo syrup (white)

Method

  • Mix and cook to soft ball stage.
  • While cooking, beat 2 eggs until peaks form.
  • Slowly pour 1/2 syrup into egg mixture while beating.
  • Continue beating while returning remaining syrup to cook until it spins a thin thread.
  • Slowly add to beating mixture.
  • Beat for about 10 minutes.
  • Add vanilla (1 teaspoon) and nuts to taste. Spoon quickly on waxed paper.
