Ingredients
- 1 large Bermuda onion
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. dill weed or dill seed
- 1/2 c. white vinegar
- 2 tsp. salt
- liquid no calorie sweetener (6 tsp.) or 1/2 c. sugar
Method
- Peel and cut onion into thin crosswise slices.
- Separate into rings.
- Place in small bowl. Combine vinegar, water, salt, dill weed and sugar in saucepan.
- Heat to boiling.
- Pour over onion rings; cover tightly and chill at least 1 hour to blend flavors. The liquid can be reheated and used on another onion.
