Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c. unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 c. walnuts
  • 1 c. chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp. milk

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Combine flour and soda in a small bowl. In large bowl, cream together butter, sugars and vanilla.
  • Whisk in egg.
  • Stir in cocoa and milk.
  • Fold in flour, walnuts and chocolate chips.
  • Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto nonstick baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 12 minutes.
  • Cool about 5 minutes before removing cookies from sheets.
