Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. powdered oats (place small batches in food processor and blend until powdered)
  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method

  • In large bowl, cream together butter and sugars.
  • Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  • In second bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt and powdered oats.
  • Add flour mixture to butter mixture in small batches.
  • Blend all well.
  • Stir in chips.
  • Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
