Ingredients

  • 1/2 to 1 lb. round steak, cubed
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 can chopped green chilies
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed
  • 1 can mushroom bits, drained (reserve liquid)
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • dash of salt and pepper

Method

  • Flour the cubed steak and brown in the oil in a hot skillet. Do not drain.
  • Add onions and garlic.
  • Mix other ingredients, include the liquid from mushrooms, in large bowl and pour over meat and stir.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
  • Serve over rice or noodles.
