- 1/2 to 1 lb. round steak, cubed
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 can chopped green chilies
- 1 clove of garlic, crushed
- 1 can mushroom bits, drained (reserve liquid)
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- dash of salt and pepper
Method
- Flour the cubed steak and brown in the oil in a hot skillet. Do not drain.
- Add onions and garlic.
- Mix other ingredients, include the liquid from mushrooms, in large bowl and pour over meat and stir.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
