Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. boiling water

Method

  • Combine dry ingredients in large mixer bowl.
  • Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla.
  • Beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
  • Stir in boiling water.
  • (Batter will be thin.)
  • Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool.
  • Frost with One-Bowl Buttercream Frosting.
  • (Recipe on every can of Hershey's cocoa.)
