Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 2 large cans chicken broth
  • 1/2 lb. red beans (kidney, etc.)
  • 1/2 lb. white beans (navy, etc.)
  • 1 pkg. frozen lima beans
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • salt and pepper

Method

  • Soak kidney and white beans overnight; drain.
  • Brown turkey. Put beans, chicken broth, turkey and onions in crock-pot.
  • Bring to boil on high; cook on low all day.
  • Add lima beans; return to high heat for 45 minutes, or until limas are done.
  • Add water as required to compensate for moisture boiled off.
