Ingredients

  • 1/2 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 c. cold water
  • 6 or 8 fresh tomatoes
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • few drops garlic juice
  • 2 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/4 c. mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Cut
  • tomatoes
  • in
  • small pieces over a bowl, conserving and using
  • all
  • the liquid.
  • Add celery, green pepper, garlic juice and
  • cream cheese, broken in pieces.
  • Soften gelatin in cold water and add to it sufficient hot water to make 1/4 cup to
  • dissolve the gelatin.
  • Add to tomato mixture.
  • Add mayonnaise.
  • Season
  • to taste
  • with
  • salt and pepper; pour into an oiled quart size mold. Serves 8 to 10.
