- 1/2 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 6 or 8 fresh tomatoes
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- few drops garlic juice
- 2 oz. cream cheese
- 1/4 c. mayonnaise
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Cut
- tomatoes
- in
- small pieces over a bowl, conserving and using
- all
- the liquid.
- Add celery, green pepper, garlic juice and
- cream cheese, broken in pieces.
- Soften gelatin in cold water and add to it sufficient hot water to make 1/4 cup to
- dissolve the gelatin.
- Add to tomato mixture.
- Add mayonnaise.
- Season
- to taste
- with
- salt and pepper; pour into an oiled quart size mold. Serves 8 to 10.
