Ingredients
- 1 (7 or 8 oz.) pkg. dates
- 1 stick oleo
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 c. Rice Krispies
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Method
- Put everything, except Rice Krispies and nuts, into a saucepan and cook over medium heat for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Put the 2 cups of Rice Krispies in a bowl and mix in the 3/4 cup chopped walnuts.
- Pour date mixture over.
- Cool until you can handle (not cold).
- Butter your hands and roll mixture into small balls, then roll in coconut.
