Ingredients
- 1 c. rolled oats
- 1 c. chopped dates
- 1 1/4 c. scalded milk
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. lite corn syrup
Method
- Add rolled
- oats
- and
- dates to milk.
- Let stand for 10 minutes.
- Add
- egg,
- beaten slightly, and corn syrup.
- Mix and sift
- dry ingredients.
- Add milk mixture, stirring only enough to blend
- well.
- Bake in moderate oven, 350°, in greased loaf pan for 1 hour.
