Ingredients
- 1 large can yams
- 1 fresh lemon
- 1 fresh orange
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. mace
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 2 Tbsp. pureed coconut
- 1 dash salt
Method
- Place butter in saucepan under low flame.
- Add 1/4 teaspoon of lemon and 1/4 teaspoon of orange juice.
- Add other ingredients and stir well until smooth consistency.
- Slice yams and place in baking pan.
- Pour mixture over yams and let sit for 3 minutes.
- Place yams in preheated oven (350°) until bubbling brown on top, approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
- Serves 5 people.
