Ingredients

  • 1 quart. lowfat milk, scalded
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2-3 c. bread cubes
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 tbsp. butter, melted
  • Raisins, optional

Method

  • Preheat oven at 350 degrees.
  • Pour lowfat milk over bread cubes.
  • Add in sugar and salt.
  • Beat Large eggs.
  • Add in to bread mix.
  • Add in melted butter and vanilla.
  • Mix well.
  • Add in raisins.
  • Pour into 1 qt casserole.
  • Set casserole in pan with warm water.
  • Fill so which water is 1 inch from the top.
  • Sprinkle with nutmeg.
  • Bake 50 min to 60 min or possibly till knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
