Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. minced green pepper
  • 1 tbsp. curry pwdr
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon grnd red pepper
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 env. golden brown onion soup mix
  • 1 (16 ounce.) pkg. frzn shrimp, thawed
  • 1 c. frzn peas, thawed
  • 1/3 c. chutney

Method

  • In a medium saucepan, heat butter.
  • Add in green pepper, curry, flour and red pepper.
  • Stir constantly 1 minute.
  • Blend in lowfat milk, water and soup mix.
  • Simmer 5 min, stirring occasionally.
  • Add in shrimp, peas and chutney.
  • Simmer till heated through.
  • Serve with white rice.
  • Extra condiments can include peanuts, coconut, raisins and extra chutney.
