Ingredients
- 1 1/2 gal. cukes, peeled
- 2 c. lime
- 1 1/2 qt. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. oil of cloves
- 8 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. oil of cinnamon
- green food coloring
Method
- Cut peeled cucumbers into slices.
- Cut out centers.
- Throw away centers.
- Cover with water to which 2 cups lime has been added.
- Soak 24 hours.
- Drain, cover with clear water and let stand 3 hours.
- Drain.
- Cover with uncooked solution of vinegar, salt, oil of cloves, oil of cinnamon and sugar.
- Let stand overnight.
