Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. round steak
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1/3 c. raisins
- 2 ribs sliced celery
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 12 sliced green olives
Method
- Cut beef into 1-inch cubes.
- Brown in frying pan.
- Add remaining ingredients except olives.
- Cover and simmer 2 hours, or until meat is tender.
- Can use pressure cooker for 12 minutes instead.
- Uncover.
- Simmer until nearly all liquid evaporates. Stir in sliced olives and serve over rice.
