Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. flour plus a little for rolling out
- 1 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
- 2 tsp. dill weed
- 1 1/2 tsp. dried mustard
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 4 Tbsp. cold water or as needed
- 1 egg, beaten
Method
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, parsley flakes, dill, dry mustard and salt.
- Add butter and mix until ingredients resemble coarse meal.
- Sprinkle with cold water 1 tablespoon at a time until mixture is moist enough to leave sides of bowl.
- Shape into ball and roll out for pie plate.
- Prick bottom of crust and brush with egg.
- Cook 10 minutes.
- Fill with quiche and cook until done in a 400° oven.
