Ingredients
- 1 lb. stew beef (lean)
- 1 large can beef or chicken broth, skim fat
- 1 large can tomatoes
- 1 pkg. mixed vegetables
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 c. diced turnip or shredded cabbage
Method
- Place broth and tomatoes in crock-pot.
- Start on high. Meanwhile saute beef, onion and pepper.
- Add frozen vegetables, remaining chopped vegetables and sauteed ingredients.
- Reduce heat to low setting.
- Simmer 6 to 8 hours.
- Serve with crusty bread or biscuits.
