Ingredients
- 2 lb. Great Northern beans
- 1 medium onion
- 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1 tsp. table salt
- 1 lb. diced bacon
- 1 c. molasses
- 1 c. brown sugar
Method
- Soak beans in water for 2 to 4 hours. Drain and rinse beans. Brown diced bacon until medium done. With slotted spoon, remove from grease.
- Place all ingredients in crock-pot.
- Add enough water to cover ingredients.
- Turn crock-pot on high setting until starts to boil, then turn on low setting.
- Let cook for 8 to 10 hours or until beans are tender.
- (I start beans the night before and let cook all night.)
