Ingredients
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. water
- 4 2/3 c. flour (or 5 c.)
Method
- Combine warm water with yeast.
- Add salt, sugar, shortening, eggs, 1 cup water and flour.
- Mix well and knead well on floured board.
- Let rise in warm place until double in bulk.
- Remove to floured board; knead well.
- Pull off chunks of dough and roll in ball.
- Place in greased muffin tins.
- Three cherry-sized balls for each roll.
- Let rise again until double in bulk.
- Bake in 425° oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
