Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. Hungry Jack mashed potato flakes
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. margarine or butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 egg
  • 3 lb. cut up frying chicken

Method

  • Heat oven to 400°.
  • In large bowl, combine potato flakes, seasoned salt, paprika, garlic powder and pepper.
  • Add margarine; mix well.
  • In medium bowl, beat water with egg.
  • Dip chicken pieces in egg mixture; coat all sides with potato flake mixture. Place chicken skin side up in ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 55 to 60 minutes or until tender.
