Ingredients
- approximately 10 slices raisin bread, torn to make 4 c.
- 3 c. milk
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- cinnamon
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Butter a 2-quart glass casserole dish. In large bowl, combine bread and milk and let soak.
- In medium bowl, beat eggs slightly; stir in sugar, butter, vanilla and salt. Add to bread mixture; stir to mix.
- Pour into dish; sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Bake 45 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
- Serve warm with brandy sauce.
