Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. (1 small can) undiluted evaporated milk
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 (7 oz.) jar Marshmallow Creme
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 (12 oz.) bag (2 c.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. nuts (optional)

Method

  • Combine sugar, milk, butter, Marshmallow Creme and salt in 2-quart saucepan.
  • Cook until mixture has boiled for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat; add chocolate pieces and vanilla.
  • Stir until everything is melted, then stir in nuts. Pour into buttered 8-inch square pan.
  • Let stand until firm; cut into squares.
  • Makes 2 1/2 pounds of candy.
