Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. whipping cream
- 1 stick butter (not oleo)
- 3 c. broken pecans
- 1/3 c. white corn syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Caramelize half cup of sugar (melted over low flame, stirring constantly).
- Add 1/3 stick butter to melted sugar.
- Bring to a boil sugar, corn syrup and cream.
- Add caramelized mixture and cook to soft ball stage.
- Add rest of butter, pecans and vanilla. Stir well until begins to thicken.
- Drop on waxed paper by spoonfuls to cool.
