Ingredients
- 2 cans minced clams
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. diced celery
- 3 c. diced potatoes
- 3/4 c. butter
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1 qt. half and half cream
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- water
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- pepper to taste
Method
- Drain clams, reserving juice.
- Place onion, celery and potatoes in large saucepan.
- Add reserved clam juice.
- Add water to cover.
- Cover and simmer over low heat 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
- Do not drain.
