Ingredients
- 2 to 3 baskets small white pearl onions (boiler onions are good if pearls are unavailable)
- 2 to 3 c. white cream sauce
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 c. milk
Method
- In double boiler, melt butter; stir in flour.
- Add milk slowly, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Continue stirring while sauce is thickening, add 3/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
