Ingredients

  • Wafers:
  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
  • 1/3 cup whipping cream
  • 2 cups flour
  • granulated sugar
  • Filling:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg yolk

Method

  • Wafers
  • Mix above mixture and chill for 1 hour. Roll out dough on floured board, cloth or towel to about 1/8" thickness. Cut out into 1 1/2" rounds. (I use a shot glass to cut out circles.) Coat both sides of cookie with granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and prick cookie with fork in 4 places. Bake for 7-9 minutes at 375o. Cool cookies and then put two cookies
  • together with filling.

  • Blend filling ingredients together. Tint color desired. (You may have to double this filling amount).
