- 1 1/2 qt. water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli, chopped
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. Accent
- 2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 8 oz. American cheese, shredded
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. cream
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/3 c. flour
Method
- In 3-quart pan, bring water to a boil.
- Add broccoli and onion and boil 10 minutes.
- Add seasonings and shredded cheese; stir until melted.
- Add milk, cream and butter.
- Stir and heat to boiling.
- Slowly add water to flour, stirring constantly, until texture is smooth.
- Slowly add water, stirring rapidly.
- Cook until soup is consistency of heavy cream.
