Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 c. chicken broth (4 cans)
  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 8 oz. Velveeta cheese
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 10 oz. pkg. chopped frozen broccoli
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch mixed with small amount water

Method

  • Boil broth; add onions and broccoli.
  • Bring to a boil and keep boiling for 10 minutes.
  • Add seasonings and cheese; cook until cheese melts.
  • Add milk and margarine; stir and heat until boiling again.
  • Add diluted cornstarch and return to boil.
  • Then reduce to simmer until served.
