Ingredients
- 1 small bunch broccoli
- 1/2 lb. (approximately) fresh mushrooms
- 1 small onion
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 1 can clear chicken broth
- 1 pt. half and half or whole milk
Method
- Cut broccoli in small pieces and steam in small amount of water (do not overcook).
- Saute mushrooms and chopped onion together in butter (do not brown).
- Add the flour as if to make gravy, then add chicken broth and cook until thickens.
- Add broccoli and slowly add half and half.
- Let simmer a short time to blend.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
