Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- dash of salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Soften butter and cream cheese.
- Cream the butter and cheese together, gradually adding sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add vanilla, flour and salt.
- Beat until well mixed.
- Pour batter in a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan or 2 loaf pans.
- Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
- Cool in pan 10 minutes.
- Remove from pan and cool on rack.
