Ingredients
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 3 sticks of butter
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 cups plain flour
- 2 tsp. vanilla OR lemon extract
- pinch of salt
Method
- Allow cream cheese and butter to reach room temperature and mix together well.
- Add 3 cups sugar and mix until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour and salt.
- Beat mixture for 3 minutes.
- Add flavoring of choice and beat for 2 more minutes.
- Pour into a greased and floured tube pan and place in a cool oven. Turn oven to 300 - 325 degrees and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
