Ingredients
- 6 qt. popcorn, popped
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. Karo syrup
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Method
- Pop popcorn and set aside (2 cups peanuts may be added). Combine sugar, margarine, syrup and salt.
- Bring to a boil. Boil, without stirring, for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla and baking soda.
- Pour over popped corn, stirring until corn is covered.
- Bake in shallow pan for 1 hour at 250°, stirring every 15 minutes.
