Ingredients

  • 1 lb. crabmeat
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 c. celery
  • 1/2 c. bell pepper
  • 1 stick butter or oleo
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 c. Pet milk
  • 2 c. cornflake crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. Hellmann's mayonnaise
  • 1 c. crushed crackers

Method

  • Cook seasonings until transparent.
  • Mix cornstarch and milk together and add to seasonings, stirring constantly.
  • Cook 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add crabmeat and season.
  • Mix cornflake crumbs and mayonnaise together and mix with crabmeat mixture.
  • Pour into buttered casserole dish and top with cracker crumbs.
  • Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Serves 4.
