Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. ground thyme
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 3 large potatoes, cubed
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. crab substitute
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped

Method

  • In 3-quart saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
  • Add celery and onion.
  • Cook until tender.
  • Stir in flour, thyme and pepper. Gradually add milk.
  • Stir constantly.
  • Add potatoes.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Simmer 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Add crab substitute.
  • Heat 5 minutes more.
  • Enjoy!
