Ingredients

  • 2 lb. Dungeness crab
  • 1/2 cube butter
  • 1 can mushrooms (stems and pieces)
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 2 Tbsp. chicken stock (with 1 c. water)
  • 1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 lemon, squeezed
  • 1 orange, squeezed
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
  • 3/4 c. white wine (optional)

Method

  • In frypan, saute mushrooms in butter.
  • Add chicken stock and simmer 15 minutes.
  • Add all other ingredients except onions and simmer for 1/2 hour.
  • Add onions.
  • Add cracked crab and cover for 15 minutes.
  • Remove crab into large bowl, placing in oven to keep warm and thicken gravy with cornstarch, as desired.
  • Pour sauce over crab and serve.
