- 2 lb. Dungeness crab
- 1/2 cube butter
- 1 can mushrooms (stems and pieces)
- 1 bunch green onions
- 2 Tbsp. chicken stock (with 1 c. water)
- 1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 lemon, squeezed
- 1 orange, squeezed
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
- 3/4 c. white wine (optional)
Method
- In frypan, saute mushrooms in butter.
- Add chicken stock and simmer 15 minutes.
- Add all other ingredients except onions and simmer for 1/2 hour.
- Add onions.
- Add cracked crab and cover for 15 minutes.
- Remove crab into large bowl, placing in oven to keep warm and thicken gravy with cornstarch, as desired.
- Pour sauce over crab and serve.
