Ingredients
- 1 c. self-rising cornmeal
- 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. grated onion
- 1 c. grated yellow squash
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. milk
Method
- Combine meal and flour.
- Add onions and squash.
- Stir in egg and milk to make a stiff batter.
- Drop by spoonfuls into hot oil until brown on all sides.
- Makes 24.
