Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 3/4 c. cottage cheese
  • 3/4 c. sour cream
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. minced dry onion
  • 2 Tbsp. whole dill weed
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter

Method

  • Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Add egg, cottage cheese, sour cream, sugar, spices and butter. Mix well. Add dry ingredients and knead until smooth. Place in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise until double in bulk. Punch down. Place in loaf pan and let rise until doubled. Bake at 400° (until loaf sounds hollow when tapped), approximately 25 minutes.
