Ingredients
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 3 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. water
- 3/4 c. cottage cheese
- 3/4 c. sour cream
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. minced dry onion
- 2 Tbsp. whole dill weed
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
Method
- Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Add egg, cottage cheese, sour cream, sugar, spices and butter. Mix well. Add dry ingredients and knead until smooth. Place in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise until double in bulk. Punch down. Place in loaf pan and let rise until doubled. Bake at 400° (until loaf sounds hollow when tapped), approximately 25 minutes.
